Moving Out? What to Expect
Please complete the following Intent to Vacate document if you haven't signed it already.
Please follow the Maintenance and Cleaning Checklist, which will help you maximize the refund of you security deposit. The disposition of your security deposit will be mailed to you 30 days after you vacate and return your keys to Nestwell. In addition to the items in the Maintenance and Cleaning Checklist, there are some routine maintenance items that you, as the resident, may be responsible for. We do not do pre-move-out walkthroughs.
Within the first 10 days of receiving notice to vacate, a Showing Specialist may contact you to set up an appointment where they will come and take pictures of the home to help prepare the property for marketing. They will also be in touch with you to schedule showings with other prospective tenants.
Once you have vacated the property please leave your house keys, mail keys, remotes, HOA key fobs, etc. on the kitchen counter for us to pick-up,
A handyman and vendor will complete the final move-out evaluation once you have vacated the premises using photos and videos to document the condition of the home. The photos and videos will be emailed to you along with the disposition. At that time, Nestwell will then hire vendors to complete any cleaning, repairs, or other items, so it's important to do everything you can do prior to the last day of your tenancy.
Please note, that the last month's rent could be pro-rated for the days you reside in the property or until the end of the current lease agreement. The system may automatically post charges for the remainder of the month on your ledger as well as a month-to-month fee. If you moved out as scheduled, you can disregard these charges as they will be removed when we process your security deposit disposition about 25 to 30 days after your vacate.
Your final disposition will be mailed via USPS 30 days after you have completely vacated the premises. Please reply to this email with your forwarding address if you haven't previously provided it. You may also enter your forwarding address online via the Resident Portal.
